INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

Abstracts
Abstract and paper submission must be made using the Web-based Conference Management Tool (WCMT), which will be available for use very soon.

Papers and Instructions for Authors
The format of papers for the Congress will be slightly different to previous MODSIM conferences and IMACS congresses. A one page extended abstract is requested which will subsequently become the first page of the paper. This page will be included in the printed Volume of Abstracts provided to all delegates.

Papers may be submitted in Microsoft Word or PDF format and may be up to 7 pages in length (inclusive of the extended abstract). The papers are published electronically — initially on CD and subsequently posted on the MSSANZ website.

Authors are reminded that all papers will be fully reviewed by two reviewers.

Presenter Instructions
All presentations excepting plenaries and keynotes, are allocated a total of 20 minutes which includes 15 minutes for the presentation, 4 minutes for questions and 1 minute for changeover. Speaker times will be strictly enforced by the session chair.

All theatres have excellent audio visual facilities. Note that the use of personal laptops is not allowed (owing to time constraints in the program). Speakers must load their presentation on the lecture–room computer via a CDROM or memory stick at the break before their session, or earlier.

Speakers should arrive for their session 15 minutes prior to session commencement to introduce themselves to the session organiser. There will be plenty of time during breaks (morning and afternoon tea and lunch) to configure and test presentations.
