×C9. Spatial analysis, geospatial modelling, and remote sensing and GIS modelling applications

Spatial data continue to become increasingly available both in terms of access (e.g. through so-called F.A.I.R. and open government initiatives) and in terms of volume (e.g. through lower cost data acquisition and storage systems). As a result, modelers - particularly those working in the environmental, biological, ecological, geological, urban planning, and atmospheric domains - have ever more abundant data for building, populating, and validating spatial numerical simulation and data driven models. This session encourages presentations on new technologies, methods, applications, and case studies in spatial analysis, geospatial modeling, remote sensing, GIS-based modelling applications and related topics.

Key topics: GIS, Remote sensing, Spatial analysis, Geospatial modelling
