×G7. Natural hazards and extremes: impacts on regional to global scales

Natural hazards and climate extremes affect all of humanity and their impacts are often catastrophic. This session invites abstracts on modelling and observationally based studies that assess the probability and impacts of individual hazards, coincident hazards, and compound hazards at regional to global scales. Such natural hazards include, but are not limited to, heatwaves, drought, bushfires, floods, extreme rainfall, tropical and subtropical cyclone, storm, hail, lightning, and extreme wind gust. We also welcome studies that link hazard modelling research with impacts (including financial) on different sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and health.
