Special Issue of the Journal of Risk and Financial Management (JRFM)
MSSANZ is pleased to announce a special issue of the Journal of Risk and Financial Management (JRFM), a Q1-ranked journal in Scopus across the categories of Finance, Economics and Econometrics, and Business, Management and Accounting (Miscellaneous).
This special issue builds on abstracts and papers submitted to MODSIM2025, particularly from Stream D: Economics and Finance.
Participants are invited to submit either a 1–2-page extended abstract or a 6–7-page conference paper to MODSIM2025. These submissions are intended exclusively for presentation and inclusion in the official conference proceedings.
Authors—especially those participating in Stream D—will be invited to submit an extended or related version of their MODSIM work to the JRFM Special Issue. Submissions should demonstrate substantive added value, which may include:
- Deepening empirical analysis or theoretical development
- Introducing new datasets, methods, or case studies
- Expanding the discussion of policy relevance, comparative context, or practical implications
To help identify eligible submissions and facilitate APC discount offers, authors are encouraged to clearly state in both their manuscript and cover letter that their paper was presented at MODSIM2025.
In some cases, authors may submit a paper related to—but not directly based on—their MODSIM presentation, particularly if the extended version has already been submitted elsewhere.
All submissions to JRFM will undergo the journal’s standard independent peer-review process to ensure academic rigor and originality.
