This Code of Conduct applies to all conference-related activities, including presentations, panels, workshops, poster sessions and social events associated with the conference.
All participants—attendees, presenters, organisers, sponsors, and volunteers—are expected to:
- Treat all individuals with courtesy, professionalism, and respect
- Foster a culture of constructive dialogue and academic integrity
- Engage in discussions that are open, thoughtful, and free from personal attacks
- Respect the diversity of perspectives, disciplines, and backgrounds
- Support the participation of all individuals
MODSIM2027 has a zero-tolerance policy regarding aggression, harassment, violence or discrimination towards any conference attendee, staff or volunteer.
All participants have the right to:
- A safe and respectful environment
- Protection from abusive, aggressive, or violent behaviour
- Equal treatment regardless of gender, background, or role
Participants are expected to:
- Accurately represent their research and contributions
- Acknowledge the work of others appropriately
- Follow ethical guidelines for data use, authorship, and collaboration
If you or someone you know is concerned about any behaviour witnessed or experienced at a conference related activity, please bring it to the attention of MSSANZ staff at the MSSANZ booth. All concerns will be taken seriously and handled with discretion.
